The new building was completed in the fall of 2009. This building of approximately 5,500 square feet is connected to the main museum. The new structure houses the History of Çhris-Craft exhibit, the GarWood exhibit, an iceboat, along with other memorabilia. The octagon shape is designed to accommodate over 12 boats, and provides the appropriate temperature and humidity control these boats require.
The new building is north of the original museum. Its doors open on to the museum campus and Maritime Park, the site of the annual Boats, blues & BBQ event.
This museum is available for rent. If you are looking for a unique, and charming, location for your next private or company event, contact our museum director at 320-759-1114. |
